About

Built in the 1930s to accommodate the rapidly expanding population of Cardiff the design by Thomas Roderick of Aberdare is Neo-Byzantine taking inspiration from the monastery church at Mirfield as well as churches in Ravenna. 

The red brick exterior conceals a vast and surprisingly light interior.

 

Enthusiasts for 20th-century art will find stunning stained glass windows by Francis Spear and other artists, as well

as Stations of the Cross by renowned ceramic artist Michael Flynn.

A dedicated exhibition showcases the work of sculptor Frank Roper.

Wheelchair access via the Grand Avenue entrance gates.

Car parking on the roads outside and surrounding the church.

From City Centre - Number 18 bus or Adventure Travel Bus C1 from Westgate Street. Get off at Howell Road and cross over then turn right to the Church, fifty yards away.

Cardiff Bus 15 or 17 or Adventure Travel Bus C1 stop outside the church gate for return journeys.
