About
An ancient site with evidence of Roman occupation. The Early Christian wheel cross and stone fragments date back over a thousand years.
The medieval church was extensively restored in 1860, probably by John Prichard.
The church is of interest for its association with Rev’d David Jones (1736 –1810) vicar of Llangan, whose sympathy

for Methodism saw him become one of the leading religious figures in Wales.
He is commemorated in the East window.
The 15th-century medieval churchyard cross is of exceptional rarity in that all parts of it are complete and unaltered.
