About
Built in 1850 on the site of an earlier 13th-century chapel, St Martin’s is a landmark in Caerphilly.
Its impressive and dominating tower, erected after the visit of King Edward VII in 1904 offers spectacular views over the town and the nearby castle.
The church is home to an organ case and complete set of Lady Chapel furnishings by George Pace as well as some beautiful stained-glass windows, both Victorian and modern and a medieval font, a relic perhaps from the earlier chapel.

Wheelchair accessible. There are three wheelchair-accessible entrances into the church and two accessible indoor toilets at the rear of the church. The other entrance into the church is up steps with a handrail for assistance.
There is car parking for several cars in the church grounds behind the church with access from Mountain Road.
The church is located very close to Caerphilly railway station and Caerphilly bus station.
