About

The church is mainly of 14th century construction but was restored and a north aisle added in 1903 by Seddon & Carter architects.

The Norman font dates from the 12th century and sits alongside some wonderful 20th-century stained glass windows from Celtic Studios.

The 19th century saw the Great Western Railway built just to the south of Rogiet.

In 1903 St Mary’s was extended to accommodate the railway families and a plaque in the church commemorates a hundred years of the Severn Tunnel which was completed in 1886.
