Nestled in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan village that bears its name, St Tathan is a fine example of a medieval church that has survived the centuries, largely unaltered.
Despite a Victorian restoration which saw the renewal of the roof and the insertion of several windows, the oldest parts of the building from the 13th century onwards bear witness to its history and are home to a fine collection of medieval painted tombs to the de Berkerolles family as well as a highly unusual
13th-century tulip-shaped font.
